The Halo 60x runs from an AC adapter for studio sessions or from USB-C Power Delivery when you are travelling light, so a single fixture covers both a fixed desk and a location shoot. You have three ways to control the Halo 60x. The onboard TFT screen keeps manual adjustment quick and clear, the amaran app pairs with a single NFC tap for phone control of brightness, colour, and effects, and for bigger rigs the light supports DMX over its USB-C port with an optional adapter. That covers everything from a solo creator to a multi-light set.

Halo 60x vs the Previous 60x S

The Halo 60x replaces the earlier amaran 60x S. It is brighter bare, noticeably lighter and slimmer, and gains modern control with NFC pairing and DMX over USB-C. The main thing the older 60x S offered that the Halo does not is V-mount battery power, so that is the one trade to weigh if you rely on batteries.
