Godox Repairs In South Africa: Authorised Support For Your Lighting Gear
If your Godox strobe is not firing, your trigger is acting up, or your LED light has stopped performing properly, CameraStuff can help. As an authorised Godox repair centre in South Africa, we provide practical repair support for photographers, studios, filmmakers, and content creators who rely on their lighting gear.
TL;DR: Godox lighting giving you problems? CameraStuff is an authorised Godox repair centre in South Africa, and there are two ways we get you back to shooting.
- Swap-out (fastest): for eligible models, hand your faulty unit in over the counter and walk out the same day with a refurbished replacement. Sending it by courier? We fast-track your swap the moment your unit arrives and is accepted.
- Standard repair: for everything else, book it in and we inspect, quote, and repair.
- Genuine repair support using original Godox spare parts only.
- Not sure which applies to you? Check your model below or contact the team first for guidance.
Why Godox Repair Support Matters
Lighting gear is central to many creative workflows. When a flash stops firing, a trigger becomes unreliable, or an LED light starts behaving unexpectedly, it can interrupt shoots, delay client work, and create unnecessary stress.
Authorised Godox repair support gives creators a clearer path forward. Instead of guessing whether a unit is worth fixing, you can get the item inspected, understand the likely fault, and make a practical decision based on cost, part availability, and the value of the gear.

We've repaired hundreds of Godox strobes, flashes, and LED lights right here in South Africa. Having our own local repair team means faster turnarounds, genuine parts, and no sending your gear overseas. If your light is playing up, bring it to us first.
Two Ways We Fix Your Godox
Depending on your model, your repair will follow one of two paths. Both use original Godox spare parts and both are handled by our local repair team, no sending gear overseas. The difference is speed and how it works.
1. Swap-Out
For eligible models, hand your unit in over the counter and walk out the same day with a fully repaired, refurbished replacement. Courier submissions are swapped as soon as we receive and accept your unit. No waiting - most swaps are done on the spot.
- Same-day, in-store exchange
- Refurbished replacement with a fresh board
- 3-month warranty on the swap unit
- Free if under warranty with CameraStuff
2. Standard Repair
For models not on the swap-out list, we book your gear in, inspect it, quote you, and repair it once you approve. This is the traditional repair route.
- Inspection and fault diagnosis
- Clear quote before any work begins
- Original Godox spare parts only
- Out-of-warranty support wherever possible
Which Path Applies To My Gear?
Use the lists below to find your route. If your exact model is not listed, or you are not sure, give us a quick call or WhatsApp before you drive in or pack it for courier. It takes two minutes and saves everyone a trip.

How The Swap-Out Process Works
Getting your Godox light repaired used to mean days or weeks without your gear. With our swap-out process, hand it in over the counter and walk away with a refurbished replacement on the spot, or ship it in and we fast-track the swap the moment it arrives. It is the fastest way to get back to shooting, and we think it is the best repair experience available for Godox lighting in South Africa. The swap-out process has been in effect since 1 June 2026.
- Confirm your Godox model is on the swap-out eligible list above (or call us to check).
- Bring your faulty unit into our store, or ship it to us via a tracked courier service.
- We assess the cosmetic condition of your unit at the point of submission.
- If your unit meets the requirements, we hand you a fully repaired, refurbished swap unit (on the spot in store, or as soon as your couriered unit is received and accepted).
- Your swap unit comes with a 3-month warranty covering the repaired fault and related components.
What You Get With A Swap Unit
- Condition: Refurbished to a high standard with a complete board replacement (no patch-up board-level repairs).
- Warranty: 3 months covering the repaired fault and related components. This replaces any remaining warranty on your original unit.
- Accessories: everything needed for normal operation, excluding batteries, modelling lamps, and flash tubes.
- Handover: the swap unit is only released once we have received and accepted your faulty unit, whether in person or by courier.
Cosmetic Condition Requirements
To qualify for the swap-out, your unit must be in acceptable cosmetic condition. We cannot accept units that show:
- Dents or impact damage to the body
- Missing plastic components or covers
- Bent or structurally compromised components
Units with corrosion caused by battery acid leakage or water damage cannot be accepted or repaired, and will be returned to you as-is. Cosmetic assessment is carried out at the time of submission, and CameraStuff's determination is final. If a unit is declined, we will let you know promptly.
What Does A Repair Cost?
We don't publish a fixed price list because repair cost is handled on a case-by-case, light-for-light basis, it depends on the model, the fault, and part availability. What we can promise is no surprises: you'll always get a quote before any chargeable work begins. For a quotation or guidance, phone or email our repairs team before booking in. Here's how pricing works for both routes:
- Under warranty with CameraStuff: no charge. The swap-out or repair is carried out under our warranty terms, and no book-in fee applies.
- Out of warranty, or bought elsewhere: standard repair rates apply, and we will quote you before any work is done.
- Standard repair book-in fee: R550 (out-of-warranty repairs only). This covers inspection and diagnosis, and is quoted alongside any repair cost before you approve.
A note on damage fees
If, during assessment, we find physical damage beyond what you reported, a damage fee may apply on top of the standard repair charge. This covers the extra work involved and is based on the average repair cost for that model. We will always tell you about any damage fee before proceeding, and you can decide whether to go ahead. If damage is beyond economical repair, we'll let you know rather than charge you for work that isn't worth doing.
What Can You Expect From A Godox Repair?
CameraStuff aims to keep the repair process grounded and transparent. Some repairs are simple, while others depend on part availability, model age, and the nature of the fault. Whichever route your gear takes, you can expect:
- Authorised repairs using original Godox spare parts only
- Reliable turnaround, same-day for in-store swap-out, or a clear timeline for standard repairs
- Support beyond the warranty period wherever possible
- Honest advice if a repair is not cost-effective or worthwhile
- Clear communication on the process, pricing, and next steps

We're not going to cut corners with knock-off parts. We get the real Godox parts straight from Godox Official, and that's what goes into your light
How Standard Repairs Work
For models not covered by the swap-out, the process is designed to be simple. Start by contacting CameraStuff with the issue you are experiencing. This helps the team understand the fault and advise you on the best next step before you send in or drop off the item.
Once the gear has been received, the team will inspect the unit and advise you on the repair process, estimated cost, and expected timeline. After approval, the repair can proceed, with updates provided along the way.
- Contact CameraStuff first by phone, email, or WhatsApp
- Explain the issue you are experiencing with your Godox gear
- Send in or drop off the item at the Randburg store
- Wait for inspection, repair advice, estimated cost, and expected timeline
- Approve the repair before work proceeds
- Receive updates until the repair is complete
What Customers Say About Our Repairs
I handed in a speedlight that I purchased about a year and a half ago for a warranty repair. They were able to locate the purchase on their system, clearly explained everything to me, and just three days later I was notified that I could collect the repaired speedlight. I am truly blown away by the level of service I consistently receive from them, which is why I have been buying from them for many years and always recommend them.
Had a battery charger that went faulty and damaged 3 batteries. Needed new batteries and a warranty claim on the charger. Batteries and a replacement charger received the next day. Ross and CameraStuff made that happen. Thanks guys! Absolute legends!
Thank you to Ross for repairing my Godox AD200. It is working so fine. I appreciate the professional teamwork from CameraStuff and the friendly staff.
Delton Naidoo went above and beyond, helping me online and making the in-store exchange quick and hassle-free. Even after I picked up the correct speedlight for my camera, he followed up to make sure everything was perfect. Outstanding service — thank you, Delton!

A standard repair is the traditional route for all other models, where we inspect your unit, quote you, and repair it once you approve. Check the model lists above to see which applies to your gear.
Which Godox lights qualify for the swap-out process?
Eligible models include the AD600PRO, AD600BM, AD600BMII, AD400PRO, AD300PRO, AD200, AD200PRO, AD200PROII, AD100PRO, MS200, MS300, the V860III, V850III and V1 camera flashes, and the ML60II LED. This list is updated regularly, so if your model isn't listed, please phone us to confirm.
What condition does my light need to be in to qualify for a swap-out?
It must be in acceptable cosmetic condition, with no dents or impact damage, no missing plastic parts or covers, and no bent or structurally compromised components. Units with battery acid or water corrosion cannot be accepted.
What happens if my light has water or battery acid damage?
Units showing corrosion from battery acid leakage or water damage cannot be accepted under the swap-out process and cannot be repaired by CameraStuff. Such units are returned to you as-is.
Is the swap unit brand new?
No, it is a refurbished unit fitted with a complete replacement board. It is restored to like-new cosmetic and working condition rather than being a brand-new retail unit.
What warranty does the swap unit carry?
The swap unit comes with a 3-month warranty covering the repaired fault and related components. Please note this warranty replaces any warranty remaining on your original unit. It does not cover new faults from misuse, physical damage, liquid ingress, or battery corrosion.
What accessories are included with the swap unit?
All accessories necessary for normal operation are included, excluding batteries, modelling lamps, and flash tubes.
Can I send my unit in by courier?
Yes. You are responsible for safe packaging and delivery, and we recommend a tracked shipping service. Risk of loss or damage in transit remains with you until we confirm receipt. Your swap unit is released once we have received and accepted your faulty unit.
How much does a repair or swap-out cost?
If your unit is under warranty with CameraStuff, there is no charge and no book-in fee. If it is out of warranty or was bought elsewhere, standard repair rates apply and we will always quote you before any work is done. Out-of-warranty standard repairs carry a R550 book-in fee covering inspection and diagnosis. We don't publish a fixed price list because cost is handled on a case-by-case, light-for-light basis, so phone or email our repairs team for a quotation or guidance.
Can I buy Godox spare parts over the counter?
No. We do not sell Godox spare parts over the counter. Parts are only fitted as part of a repair carried out by our team.
What if my unit has more damage than I reported?
If we find physical damage beyond what was reported, a damage fee may apply in addition to any standard repair charge, based on the average repair cost for that model. We will always notify you before proceeding, and we may decline repair where damage is beyond economical repair.
Do I own the swap unit straight away?
The swap unit remains the property of CameraStuff until the exchange is fully completed and any outstanding charges have been settled. During this period you must not sell, pledge, or modify it, and you are responsible for any loss, theft, or accidental damage while it is in your care. We recommend ensuring it is covered under your insurance in the meantime.
Can CameraStuff repair Godox gear that is out of warranty?
In many cases, yes. Support beyond the warranty period is available wherever possible, depending on the model, fault, and availability of suitable parts.
How long does a standard repair take?
Turnaround time depends on the fault, inspection process, and whether parts are available. CameraStuff will advise you on the expected timeline once the item has been assessed. Swap-out eligible models, by contrast, are handled same-day in store.
What should I do before bringing in my Godox gear?
Contact CameraStuff first by phone, email, or WhatsApp and explain the issue. This helps the team confirm your repair route and guide you on the best next step before you send in or drop off the item.
Where can I drop off my Godox repair?
You can drop off your gear at CameraStuff, 473 Jan Smuts Avenue, Blairgowrie, Randburg.
Why buy Godox lighting from CameraStuff?
CameraStuff is an authorised Godox reseller in South Africa, which means your lighting gear includes local warranty support, servicing access, and trusted after-sales backup instead of unsupported grey import stock.
Godox Lighting Swap-Out & Repairs Terms & Conditions
⚠️ Effective from 1 June 2026By submitting a Godox lighting product for repair under the Swap-Out Process, you agree to these terms in full.
1 & 2. Overview and Eligibility
CameraStuff operates a swap-out exchange process ("the Swap-Out Process") for approved Godox photographic lighting repairs. This process replaces the conventional repair turnaround model and is designed to minimise downtime for our customers and improve repair efficiency. Under this process, a refurbished replacement unit is issued to the customer in exchange for their faulty unit at the point of handover.
The Swap-Out Process is only available on prescribed Godox lighting models as determined by CameraStuff (see the Swap-Out Eligible Models list above). CameraStuff reserves the right to update the list of prescribed models at any time.
3. Cosmetic Condition Requirements
To qualify for the Swap-Out Process, your submitted unit must be in acceptable cosmetic condition. Units will not be accepted if they present with any of the following:
- Dents or impact damage to the body
- Missing plastic components or covers
- Bent or structurally compromised components
Units showing signs of corrosion caused by battery acid leakage or water damage will not be accepted under the Swap-Out Process and cannot be repaired by CameraStuff. Such units will be returned to the customer as-is. Cosmetic assessment is carried out by CameraStuff at the time of submission, and CameraStuff's determination of cosmetic condition is final. If a unit is declined, you will be notified promptly.
4. Swap Unit Details
| Condition | Refurbished cosmetic condition |
|---|---|
| Repair method | Complete board replacement, no board-level repairs |
| Warranty | 3 months covering the repaired fault and related components |
| Accessories included | All accessories necessary for normal operation, excluding batteries, modelling lamps, and flash tubes |
The Swap Unit will only be released once CameraStuff has taken possession of the Faulty Unit. No Swap Unit will be issued prior to the Faulty Unit being handed in or received by CameraStuff. Risk of loss or damage to the Swap Unit passes to you upon collection or delivery.
The 3-month warranty on the Swap Unit replaces any previous warranty held on your original unit. It does not cover new faults arising from misuse, physical damage, liquid ingress, or battery corrosion.
5. Submitting Your Faulty Unit
The Swap Unit will not be released until the Faulty Unit has been physically received and accepted by CameraStuff, whether the exchange takes place in person or via courier. You are responsible for safe packaging and delivery of the Faulty Unit. CameraStuff recommends using a tracked shipping service. Risk of loss or damage during transit remains with you until CameraStuff confirms receipt.
6. Repair Charges
| Under warranty with CameraStuff | No charge. Swap carried out under our warranty terms, and no book-in fee applies. |
|---|---|
| Out of warranty or purchased elsewhere | Standard repair rates apply. The R550 book-in fee applies to standard repairs only; swap-out submissions are not charged a book-in fee. We will quote you before any work is done. |
Where a Faulty Unit is under warranty with CameraStuff, the swap-out will be carried out in accordance with CameraStuff's warranty terms and conditions as stipulated on our website, and no repair charge will apply. Standard repairs are priced according to CameraStuff's current repair rate schedule for Godox lighting products, handled on a case-by-case, light-for-light basis. A quotation will be provided before any chargeable work is undertaken. CameraStuff does not sell Godox spare parts over the counter; parts are only fitted as part of a repair.
7. Damage Fees
If the Faulty Unit is found to have physical damage beyond what was reported at submission, a damage fee will apply in addition to any standard repair charges. The damage fee is calculated based on the average repair cost for that specific Godox light model, as determined by CameraStuff's repair rate schedule at the time of assessment. You will be notified of any applicable damage fee before work proceeds. CameraStuff reserves the right to decline repair of units where damage is deemed irreparable or uneconomical to repair.
8. Ownership & Responsibility
The Swap Unit remains the property of CameraStuff until the exchange is fully completed and any outstanding charges have been settled. You must not sell, pledge, modify, or otherwise deal with the Swap Unit during this period. You are responsible for any loss, theft, or accidental damage to the Swap Unit while it is in your care. CameraStuff recommends ensuring the Swap Unit is covered under your insurance during this time.
9. Limitations of Liability
CameraStuff is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from a fault with your lighting equipment or from participation in the Swap-Out Process. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by CameraStuff's negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10. Consumer Rights
These terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other applicable South African legislation.
