Sections 1 and 2: Overview and Eligibility
CameraStuff operates a swap-out exchange process ("the Swap-Out Process") for approved Godox photographic lighting repairs. This process replaces the conventional repair turnaround model and is designed to minimise downtime for our customers and improve repair efficiency. Under this process, a refurbished replacement unit is issued to the customer in exchange for their faulty unit at the point of handover.
By submitting a Godox lighting product for repair under this process, you agree to these terms in full.
The Swap-Out Process is only available on prescribed Godox lighting models as determined by CameraStuff. CameraStuff reserves the right to update the list of prescribed models at any time.
Section 4: Swap Unit Details
| Condition | Like new cosmetic condition |
| Repair method | Complete board replacement, no board-level repairs |
| Warranty | 3 months covering the repaired fault and related components |
| Accessories included | All accessories necessary for normal operation, excluding batteries, modelling lamps, and flash tubes |
The Swap Unit will only be released once CameraStuff has taken possession of the Faulty Unit. No Swap Unit will be issued prior to the Faulty Unit being handed in or received by CameraStuff. Risk of loss or damage to the Swap Unit passes to you upon collection or delivery.
The 3-month warranty on the Swap Unit replaces any previous warranty held on your original unit. It does not cover new faults arising from misuse, physical damage, liquid ingress, or battery corrosion.
Section 5: Submitting Your Faulty Unit
The Swap Unit will not be released until the Faulty Unit has been physically received and accepted by CameraStuff, whether the exchange takes place in person or via courier.
You are responsible for safe packaging and delivery of the Faulty Unit. CameraStuff recommends using a tracked shipping service. Risk of loss or damage during transit remains with you until CameraStuff confirms receipt.
Section 3: Cosmetic Condition Requirements
To qualify for the Swap-Out Process, your submitted unit must be in acceptable cosmetic condition. Units will not be accepted if they present with any of the following:
- Dents or impact damage to the body
- Missing plastic components or covers
- Bent or structurally compromised components
Units showing signs of corrosion caused by battery acid leakage or water damage will not be accepted under the Swap-Out Process and cannot be repaired by CameraStuff. Such units will be returned to the customer as-is.
Cosmetic assessment is carried out by CameraStuff at the time of submission. CameraStuff's determination of cosmetic condition is final. If a unit is declined, you will be notified promptly.
Section 6: Repair Charges
Where a Faulty Unit is under warranty with CameraStuff, the swap-out will be carried out in accordance with CameraStuff's warranty terms and conditions as stipulated on our website. No repair charge will apply in these cases.
| Under warranty with CameraStuff | No charge, swap carried out under our warranty terms |
| Out of warranty or purchased elsewhere | Standard repair rates apply. We will quote you before any work is done. |
Standard repairs are priced according to CameraStuff's current repair rate schedule for Godox lighting products. A quotation will be provided before any chargeable work is undertaken.
Section 7: Damage Fees
If the Faulty Unit is found to have physical damage beyond what was reported at submission, a damage fee will apply in addition to any standard repair charges.
The damage fee is calculated based on the average repair cost for that specific Godox light model, as determined by CameraStuff's repair rate schedule at the time of assessment.
You will be notified of any applicable damage fee before work proceeds. CameraStuff reserves the right to decline repair of units where damage is deemed irreparable or uneconomical to repair.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Godox lights qualify for the swap-out process?
Not all Godox lighting products are eligible. We maintain a list of prescribed models. Contact us to confirm whether your unit qualifies before bringing it in.
What condition does my light need to be in to qualify?
Your unit must be free of dents, impact damage, missing plastic parts, bent components, and any signs of battery acid or water damage. We assess condition at the point of submission, and our determination is final.
What happens if my light has water or battery acid damage?
Units with corrosion from battery leakage or water damage cannot be accepted under the swap-out process and cannot be repaired by us. We will return the unit to you as-is.
Is the swap unit brand new?
The swap unit is refurbished to like-new cosmetic condition. The original fault will have been fully repaired using a complete board replacement. We do not do board-level repairs on swap units.
What warranty does the swap unit carry?
The swap unit comes with a 3-month warranty covering the repaired fault and related components. This replaces any previous warranty on your original unit. It does not cover new faults from misuse, physical damage, liquid ingress, or battery corrosion.
What accessories are included with the swap unit?
We include all accessories needed for normal operation, except batteries, modelling lamps, and flash tubes.
Can I send my unit in by courier?
Yes. We will only dispatch your swap unit once we have received and inspected your faulty unit and confirmed it meets our cosmetic requirements. Pack it carefully and use a tracked service. Risk of loss in transit remains with you until we confirm receipt.
How much does a swap-out repair cost?
If your unit is under warranty with us, there is no charge. If it is out of warranty or was purchased elsewhere, standard repair rates apply. We will give you a quote before any chargeable work is done.
What if my unit has more damage than I reported?
A damage fee will apply, calculated based on the average repair cost for your specific model. We will notify you before proceeding. In cases where damage is irreparable or uneconomical to fix, we reserve the right to decline the repair.
Do I own the swap unit straight away?
The swap unit remains our property until the exchange is fully completed and any outstanding charges are settled. Please do not sell, modify, or pledge it during this time.
