Product Description
The Rode VideoMic GO II is a lightweight directional shotgun microphone that delivers clean, focused audio on a camera, phone, tablet, or computer, with no batteries and nothing to switch.
It uses the same annular line tube technology as the VideoMic NTG for rich, full-bodied sound, and its supercardioid pattern is highly directional, focusing on what you point it at while reducing background noise. The in-house HELIX isolation mount protects against knocks, bumps, and handling noise, staying low-profile with built-in cable management, a camera attachment, and a boompole thread. A 3.5mm TRS output connects to cameras and a USB-C output connects to phones and computers, and in USB mode you can unlock a high-pass filter, high-frequency boost, or pad through RODE Central. It weighs just 33g.
A camera's built-in mic picks up everything around it, and most creators do not want to become audio engineers to fix that. The VideoMic GO II does the work for you: point it at your subject, plug it in, and record.
Ideal for: content creators recording to a camera in the field, a phone on the move, or a desktop USB mic for podcasting, streaming, gaming, and video calls.
Please note: The box includes the 3.5mm TRS cable for cameras. To use the USB-C output with a phone or computer, you need an additional Rode cable (SC16, SC17, or SC18 for USB-C devices; SC15 or SC19 for Lightning), sold separately.
Compatibility
- Cameras: 3.5mm TRS output, using the included SC14 cable.
- Phones and computers via USB-C: iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows, using an additional USB cable (sold separately).
- Works with RODE Central and RODE apps for advanced features and digital signal processing.
