Product Description
The Rode RODECaster Video is a video and audio production console that switches, mixes, processes, records, and streams a multi-camera show from one device, blending full video switching with a studio audio mixer.
It switches between up to six video sources and seven fully customisable scenes at the press of a button, driven by an octa-core processor. Four full HD (1080p) HDMI inputs with auto frame rate conversion and two configurable HDMI outputs (program, preview, or multiview) handle your cameras and monitors, and two USB-C ports add compatible webcams, capture cards, Rode USB microphones, and even a RODECaster Pro II or Duo as extra sources. On the audio side, two Neutrik combo inputs run ultra-low-noise Revolution Preamps, two internal Series IV wireless receivers take Rode wireless mics, and the mixer handles up to 20 sources (nine stereo channels at once) with 12 custom-routed outputs and APHEX processing on every channel. Automatic chroma keying, media playback, graphics overlays, multi-source layouts, and custom transitions are all on the front panel, with an Inspect button to preview and configure any input, and intelligent auto-switching that cuts between cameras based on who is talking. NDI support adds up to four video-over-IP inputs and one output, plus iPhone integration through the RODE Capture app, and you can record every source independently (ISO) to USB storage, export an EDL to DaVinci Resolve, and stream to major platforms over WiFi, Ethernet, or USB.
A multi-camera show normally needs a separate video switcher, an audio mixer, a recorder, and a producer to run it. The RODECaster Video brings all of that into one console, and its auto-switching runs the cameras for you when you are working solo.
