The Rode PodMic USB is a dynamic broadcast microphone with both XLR and USB-C outputs, so you can plug it into a mixer or interface like a classic broadcast mic, or straight into a computer or phone for plug-and-play recording.
A high-power neodymium capsule gives a warm, detailed voice with a cardioid, end-address pattern that rejects room noise. The USB-C output runs Rode's ultra-low-noise, high-gain Revolution Preamp with APHEX digital signal processing, so you can dial in a sound with VoxLab or work the granular controls for the high-pass filter, noise gate, compressor, and the Aural Exciter and Big Bottom, all with a zero-latency headphone output and onboard level control. It records at 24-bit/48kHz and works with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. An internal pop filter and shock mount are built in, a studio-quality external pop filter is included, and the integrated swing mount makes positioning simple. The all-metal body weighs 900g.
