The fluid head features independent drag adjustment for pan and tilt damping, letting you tune each axis separately for smoother, more deliberate movement. Pan and tilt lock together rather than independently, a trade-off for the tripod's higher load rating. The quick release plate inserts from the top rather than the side, which speeds up switching the camera on and off between shots.
