Product Description
The K&F Nano-X ND2-ND400 is an 82mm variable neutral density filter giving 1 to 9 stops of adjustable light reduction, letting you dial exposure like a volume knob for stills and video.
It works by opposing two polarised elements: rotating the outer ring increases or decreases the darkening from ND2 to ND400 (density 0.3 to 2.7), with smooth action and no hard stops, plus dot and arrow calibration marks for repeatable results. This lets you use slower shutter speeds or wider apertures in bright light, for motion blur, shallow depth of field, or cinematic aperture control on video. An orange rotation tab adds leverage for easier, more secure handling.
Ideal for: photographers and videographers who want a single adjustable ND for bright-light long exposures, shallow depth of field, and consistent video exposure without swapping fixed filters.
In harsh daylight, a camera's aperture, shutter, and ISO can all top out, leaving no creative headroom. This filter acts as a fourth exposure control, and its slim 7.4mm double-threaded aircraft-aluminium frame stacks with other filters while reducing the risk of vignetting on wide lenses.
Please note: At the extreme end of the darkening range, variable ND filters can show a dark X cross across the frame. This is a normal byproduct of cross-polarisation (affected by focal length and lens type), not a fault, and clears by rotating the ring back from the maximum.
