Godox Litemons LP1200R FAQs
Godox LP1200R 120W studio panels are available as standalone units or complete multi-light kits to match larger production scales:
- 1-Light Panel (Single Unit): Functions as a high-output primary key light for interview setups, commercial video, and large softbox diffusion.
- 2-Light Kit: Includes two 120W LP1200R panels, two heavy-duty light stands, and a padded carry case. It creates a complete two-point studio lighting setup (Key light + Fill light, or Key light + vibrant RGB background wash) for commercial studio shoots and video podcasts.
- 3-Light Kit: Includes three LP1200R panels, three light stands, and a carry case. Enables a full three-point studio lighting workflow (Key light, Fill light, plus a dedicated Hair, Rim, or colourful background accent light) for broad video sets and multi-camera broadcasts.
The Godox Litemons LP1200R is built for professional videographers, commercial photographers, studio owners, and content production teams who require a punchy 120W continuous LED panel:
- Who It Is For: Ideal for creators who need strong studio illumination to fill larger softboxes, overpower ambient room light, or cover wide video sets with accurate colours (CRI 96 / TLCI 96).
- How To Mount: Secure the panel onto heavy-duty light stands or studio C-stands using the built-in 360-degree rotating yoke bracket.
- How To Control: Fine-tune brightness from 0% to 100% and adjust CCT (1800K to 10,000K) or RGB colour hues on the rear digital display, or wirelessly via Bluetooth using the Godox Light app.
- Light Shaping & FX: Direct beam angles with the included four-way metal barndoors, or trigger 14 built-in creative lighting FX (such as police car, candle, lightning, and TV flicker) to build scene drama.
Selecting between the LP1200R and LP1200Bi comes down to whether you need full RGB spectrum lighting or standard adjustable white light:
- Godox LP1200R (RGB-WW): Offers full 360-degree RGB colour tuning, an ultra-wide CCT range from 1800K to 10,000K, HSI and GEL modes, and 14 animated FX lighting effects. It gives you complete creative freedom for stylized music videos, commercial branding colours, and background mood lighting.
- Godox LP1200Bi (Bi-Colour): Focuses exclusively on adjustable white light from warm tungsten (2800K) to cool daylight (6500K) without RGB colour modes.
- Recommendation: Choose the LP1200R if you want full creative colour flexibility alongside high-power key lighting, or the LP1200Bi if your work strictly requires standard daylight and tungsten interview illumination.
Yes, the Godox LP1200R provides dual power options for both studio grid setups and remote location shoots:
- Battery Power (Sold Separately): Due to its high 120W power draw, the rear housing includes a built-in V-Mount battery plate. You can power the panel wirelessly on location using an optional V-Mount rechargeable lithium battery.
- AC Mains Power (Included): Comes equipped with an AC power adapter and cable to plug directly into standard wall sockets for unlimited, continuous indoor studio power.
Choosing the right Godox LED panel depends on your output requirements, power ecosystem, and production scale:
- Litemons LP400R (36W): Ultra-compact 36W entry panel powered by two NP-F batteries, best suited for tight desktop spaces, mobile streaming, and subtle accent lighting.
- Litemons LP600R (60W): Mid-tier 60W panel powered by two NP-F batteries, ideal for portable interview kits and medium video setups.
- Litemons LP1200R (120W): High-output 120W studio panel featuring a V-Mount battery plate and broad panel surface area, acting as a primary key light for studio sets.
- Knowled P600R (600W Heavy-Duty): Heavy-duty broadcast-grade 600W cinema fixture with IP65 weatherproofing, DMX/CRMX control, and pixel mapping for large film sets and broadcast studios.
