The amaran Ray 120c is an ultra-compact 120W full-colour RGB COB LED monolight delivering up to 6850 lux at 1 metre, with a 1800 to 20,000K range, OmniColor accuracy, IP54 protection, and a Bowens mount.
It keeps the slim, compact design of the Ray 60c, staying just 5.1cm thick and around 0.6kg, but delivers 120W for creators who need more output and mobility. It is significantly brighter than amaran's 150c in a much smaller body, better suited to tight spaces and on-the-go workflows. The OmniColor light engine gives an enhanced colour spectrum with expanded red and blue ranges, and 360° full colour control through HSI and RGB modes.

Compact RGB lights usually trade away either output, colour accuracy, or weather protection. The Ray 120c avoids that: bare, it delivers up to 6850 lux at 1 metre and 8719 lumens, with CRI 95, TLCI 95, SSI 80/87, and TM-30 94/100 ratings for cleaner whites and true skin tones that stay consistent on camera. The colour temperature runs 2300 to 10,000K, extendable to 1800 to 20,000K in CCT+ mode, with green to magenta shift and 0 to 100% stepless dimming. An FX mode offers 12 effects: fireworks, faulty bulb, lightning, TV, pulsing, strobe, explosion, fire, paparazzi, welding, cop car, and party.
Control is handled through an intuitive menu and TFT screen, a FlowTurn knob for tactile adjustments, and one-tap NFC pairing to the amaran app, with Bluetooth control over a generous 80 metre range. Quick Operation, High-Speed Photography, and Studio modes plus custom shortcuts speed up common adjustments. Power options cover AC via the included adapter, USB-C PD 3.0, and 12 to 24V DC, along with Ace E-Lock support for optional batteries. With the optional amaran Peak battery you get around 35 minutes of cable-free running at full output, or up to 46 minutes with the Peak 75 at 50% output.
An IP54 rating adds dust and splash resistance for outdoor work in wind, light rain, sand, or humidity, and active fan cooling stays quiet at 28 dBA at maximum output, with silent and smart fan modes. The full-size metal Bowens mount fits the separately available Mini Reflector, Mini Fresnel, and other Bowens modifiers, and a 1/4-inch-20 thread allows attachment to other mounting gear. The included Octa Dome 30 softbox sets up in one snap, and an Ace Lock to Baby Pin Adapter Grip makes for quick mounting to stands or handheld use.
