Product Description
The Alvin's Cables 8K HDMI 2.1 Braided Coiled Cable is a full-size HDMI lead with a left-angle plug, made for videographers who run a camera such as a Sony FS7, Canon C300, or Blackmagic BMPCC into a monitor or recorder like the Atomos Ninja V.
The cable wears a blue braided jacket that gives it a taut, hard-wearing feel, and the coil pulls out to reach then draws back so slack gathers up on the rig. A straight HDMI plug goes to the monitor while the left-angle plug turns flat against the camera body, and both aluminium connector shells are light in the hand yet seat firmly into their ports.
Ideal for: Videographers using cinema and hybrid cameras such as the Sony FS5, FS7, and FX3, Canon C300 and C500, or Blackmagic BMPCC into a monitor or recorder like the Atomos Ninja V, SmallHD, or Portkeys.
On a built-up rig a straight HDMI plug sticks out from the camera and a loose, sagging cable catches on arms and clamps as you reframe. This cable answers that with a left-angle plug that sits flush against the body and a coil that keeps the run short, while the upgraded braided construction holds a stable signal to the monitor. The result is a tidy, hard-wearing connection that stays out of the way during a shoot.
Key Features
- Left-angle braided coiled design: The angled plug turns flat against the camera and the coil retracts to about 43 cm, so the connection sits low on the body and loose cable does not snag on a busy rig.
- HDMI 2.1 at up to 48 Gb/s: The full 48 Gb/s of bandwidth carries 8K60 and 4K120 footage, which means high-resolution monitoring and recording to a device like the Ninja V passes through without becoming a bottleneck.
- Upgraded aluminium connector shells: The alloy shells are both hard-wearing and lightweight, so the plugs resist knocks on location while adding little weight to the camera's port.
- Wide camera and monitor compatibility: It connects a broad range of full-size HDMI cameras to monitors and recorders from Atomos, SmallHD, Portkeys, Blackmagic, Feelworld, and Hollyland, so one cable covers much of a mixed kit.
