Product Description
The Alvin's Cables 8K HDMI 2.1 Thin Braided Coiled Cable is a full-size HDMI lead for videographers who run a camera such as a Canon C50, C300, or Sony FX3 into a monitor or recorder like the Atomos Ninja V.
The cable is noticeably slim for a braided lead, and the coil pulls out to reach then draws back so slack gathers up rather than sagging across the rig. A straight HDMI plug sits at each end in a reinforced aluminium shell, with gold contacts inside that seat firmly into the port.
Ideal for: Videographers using cinema and hybrid cameras such as the Canon C50, C300, and C500, Sony FX3 and FS7, or Blackmagic BMPCC into a monitor or recorder like the Atomos Ninja V, SmallHD, Feelworld, or Hollyland.
On a built-up rig a full-length HDMI lead sags and catches on arms and clamps, and any signal loss shows up as a black screen, dropped frames, or flicker on the monitor. This cable answers that with a coil that keeps the run short and heavy shielding that holds the signal clean, so the feed to your monitor stays stable while the cable stays out of the way. The result is a slim, tidy connection that holds its picture during a shoot.
Key Features
- Thin braided coiled design: The slim coil retracts to about 30 cm and stretches to roughly 48 cm, so it spans the gap to a rig-mounted monitor without loose cable snagging on clamps as you reframe.
- HDMI 2.1 at up to 48 Gb/s: The full 48 Gb/s of bandwidth carries 8K60 and 4K120 footage, which means high-resolution monitoring and recording passes through without the cable becoming the bottleneck, with backward compatibility for HDMI 2.0 and 1.4 gear.
- Quadruple shielding: Four layers of shielding block EMI and RFI, so the monitor feed stays free of delays, black screens, frame drops, and flicker on a busy set.
- Durable TPE and aluminium build: The pull, abrasion, and oil-resistant TPE layer pairs with reinforced aluminium shells and gold contacts, so the cable holds up and the plugs stay reliable over repeated use.
