Product Description
The Alvin's Cables 8K 2.1 Micro-HDMI to Full HDMI Braided Coiled Cable is a slim coiled lead for videographers whose mirrorless camera has a micro-HDMI port and needs a tidy, durable link to a monitor or recorder like the Atomos Ninja V.
The cable pairs a thin profile with a firm braided jacket, and the coil pulls out to reach then draws back so slack gathers up rather than trailing across the rig. A micro-HDMI plug goes to the camera and a full-size plug to the monitor, with 24K gold-plated contacts inside sturdy aluminium shells that seat firmly into each port.
Ideal for: Videographers using mirrorless cameras such as the Canon R5C, R5, and R6, Sony A7R IV and A7 III, or Fujifilm X-T4 with a micro-HDMI output, connecting to field monitors, wireless transmitters, and gimbal systems from Atomos, Feelworld, Portkeys, Blackmagic, Hollyland, Teradek, and DJI.
Micro-HDMI ports are small and easily strained, and a loose, sagging cable both clutters a tight rig and tugs at that fragile socket every time the camera moves. This cable answers that with a slim braided body and a coil that keeps slack gathered up, so it puts little leverage on the port while carrying a clean feed to the monitor. The result is a tidy, hard-wearing connection that eases the load on a vulnerable camera socket.
Key Features
- Braided coiled micro-HDMI design: The slim braided coil retracts to about 45.7 cm and stretches to roughly 71.1 cm, so it stays short on the camera but reaches a monitor across the rig without loose cable snagging on clamps.
- HDMI 2.1 at up to 48 Gb/s: The full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth carries 8K60 and 4K120 footage, and it also passes HDR, 3D, Ethernet, and Audio Return Channel, so high-resolution monitoring and recording comes through with the full feature set.
- 24K gold-plated contacts in aluminium shells: Corrosion-resistant gold contacts inside sturdy aluminium housings keep a stable link and resist knocks, so the connection holds up over repeated use on location.
- Wide production compatibility: It connects a broad range of micro-HDMI cameras to field monitors, wireless transmitters, and gimbals, so one cable covers much of a monitoring and stabilisation workflow.
