Cuteness Is Breaking Loose: The CameraStuff and Sandton SPCA 2027 Calendar

We could not be prouder of this one. CameraStuff teamed up with the Sandton SPCA to help create their 2027 rescue-pet calendar, and we supplied the colourful seamless paper backdrops that made the whole thing pop. The result is 12 months of adorable rescue dogs and cats, all shot against bright, bold colour, with every purchase going straight back to caring for animals in need.

The theme says it all: Cuteness Is Breaking Loose in 2027. Here is the story behind the shoot, the paper colours we provided, the talented photographer who brought it to life, and where you can get your own copy to support a wonderful cause.

The Calendar Launch

The Big Idea: Pets Bursting Through the Paper

A calendar full of rescue animals is lovely on its own, but the team wanted something with a bit more personality, something that captured how much life and energy these pets have. So the concept was born: what if the animals looked like they were literally breaking out of the page?

That is exactly what we did. Each of our seamless paper backdrops was torn open, and the dogs and cats poked their heads and paws through the hole, as if they were bursting straight out of the colour and into 2027. Set against three punchy paper shades, the effect is playful, full of character, and impossible not to smile at. It turns a simple portrait into a moment of pure joy, which is exactly the spirit of a rescue calendar.

Seamless paper is perfect for this kind of creative work. It gives a clean, even wash of colour with no distractions, so all the attention lands on the star of the shot, and because it comes on a large roll, there is plenty to play with, tear, and shape however a concept demands.

Praise the Photographer

None of this magic happens without a brilliant photographer behind the camera. The 2027 calendar was shot by Nadia Koegelenberg of Moonrise Creative Studio, who captured every wagging tail, curious whisker, and cheeky head-through-the-paper moment with real warmth and skill. Working with rescue animals takes patience and a good eye, and Nadia brought both in spades.

Proud to Support Local Rescue

Projects like this are exactly why we love what we do. Providing the backdrops for the Sandton SPCA calendar let us put our gear to work for a cause that matters, and it was a genuine pleasure to see our paper become the stage for so many happy endings. A huge thank you to the Sandton SPCA team and to Nadia for making it all come together.

If you would like to support the shelter, grab a calendar, share it with a friend, and help give more animals the second chance they deserve.

A Note From the Author

If this shoot leaves you with one thought, let it be this: give senior dogs a chance. They deserve a family and a warm home for their golden years, just as much as any puppy does, and often more.
