For natural light and studio photographers, the RFT-10 collapsible 7-in-1 reflector is a must-have accessory. It includes three reflective panels (silver, white, and gold), a black light-absorbing panel, green and blue chroma key backdrop panels, and a scrim. Its flexible steel frame and reversible slip-cover design make it travel-friendly and easy-to-store, folding down to 1/3rd of its size.

Reflector/Backdrop Panel Properties:

  • Silver Panel: Increases contrast & highlights on your subject. The silver side reflects the most light. Good to use with under-powered lighting.
  • White Panel: Creates a softer and warmer quality of light compared to silver. Provides a modest amount of reflection.
  • Silver/Gold Panel: Features a gold & silver zig-zag pattern, providing a subtle gold (warmer) reflection, as opposed to solid-gold.
  • Black Panel: Absorbs light like a sponge. Enhances shadows on your subject when used on the opposite side of your key light. Can also be used to block stray light.
  • Scrim/Translucent Panel: Softens and diffuses direct harsh light, such as sunlight or any light source that cannot be modified with a softbox.
  • Blue/Green Chroma-Key Backdrop Panels: Can be used as a backdrop for chroma-key backdrop replacement editing.
