To start a warranty claim or return, please contact us via email, or by calling us at 011 880 4155. Include your order number and a short description of the issue.

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims and returns. Warranty assessments typically take 3–5 working days to process.

What Does Local Warranty Mean?

A local warranty means your product is covered and serviced within South Africa. You do not need to send items back to the manufacturer’s country of origin for repairs or replacement. This makes the warranty process faster, easier, and more convenient.

All warranty repairs and assessments are handled directly at our CameraStuff store. This ensures quicker turnaround times and avoids international shipping delays and costs.

Local Warranty Process CameraStuff handles all warranty claims directly at our store location, ensuring efficient and timely service. When you submit a warranty claim, we will:

  1. Assess your product within 3-5 working days (excluding delivery times if the item needs to be shipped to us)
  2. Determine whether repair or replacement is the most appropriate solution
  3. Complete repairs using qualified technicians or arrange direct replacement
  4. Provide updates on your claim status throughout the process



Uniform Warranty Coverage

We do not differentiate between personal or commercial use. All customers benefit from the same local warranty coverage.




Consumable Products Not Covered by Warranty

Flash Tubes

  • Considered consumable parts (including those inside speedlights and strobes)
  • Returns only accepted if damage occurred in transit and is reported within 48 hours of receipt
  • Clear photos of the damage and packaging are required
  • If the issue is due to courier mishandling or a dispatch error, a replacement or refund will be arranged


Modelling Lamps

  • Considered consumable parts and not covered once used
  • LED modelling lamps may be considered for warranty if failure is due to a clear manufacturing fault (excludes failures caused by overuse, overheating, or poor ventilation are not covered)
  • Returns only accepted if damage occurred in transit and is reported within 48 hours of receipt
  • Clear photos of the damage and packaging are required
  • If the issue is due to courier mishandling or a dispatch error, a replacement or refund will be arranged


Backdrops

  • Naturally prone to wear, scuffing, and marks after use; this is normal and not a valid warranty claim
  • Returns only accepted if damage occurred in transit and is reported within 48 hours of receipt
  • Clear photos of the damage and packaging are required
  • If the issue is due to courier mishandling or a dispatch error, a replacement or refund will be arranged




Valid Warranty Claim Reasons

  • Malfunctioning or non-functioning product
  • Faulty components or assembly
  • Defects that impair the product's intended use
  • Issues with materials or workmanship
  • Flaws in the design or engineering


The Warranty Does Not Cover Damage From

  • Accidents
  • Improper use
  • Natural wear and tear
  • Power surges
  • Use of non-recommended external power devices



Returns and Refunds

We offer a 60-day money-back guarantee. If you're unhappy with your purchase, just let us know and we’ll happily arrange a return, exchange, or refund.

Refunds cover the product cost only. Initial and return shipping fees are excluded. Please ensure the item is securely packed and returned using a trackable, insured method.

Packaging and Completeness Requirements

Complete Returns: To qualify for a full refund, returned items must include:

  • Original product packaging (box, foam inserts, plastic bags)
  • All included accessories, cables, manuals, and documentation
  • All original contents as shipped


Incomplete Returns: Items returned without original packaging or missing accessories will incur a 35% restocking fee to cover:

  • Repackaging costs for resale
  • Replacement of missing standard accessories
  • Additional handling and processing time


Examples of Incomplete Returns:

  • Missing original box or protective packaging
  • Absent cables, straps, or other included accessories
  • Missing manuals, warranty cards, or documentation
  • Damaged packaging that affects product resale value

 



Returning Products Due to Our Fault

  • Return shipping covered by us, or you can bring the item to our shop
  • Photos of damage or missing parts required
  • We assess the returned item before replacement or refund
  • Secure packaging is essential to avoid further damage
  • Replacement sent after assessment
  • Refunds processed via original payment method
  • If out of stock, choose between waiting or refund
  • Items with missing/damaged packaging incur a 35% fee


Returning Products Due to Client's Fault

  • Return via courier or in person
  • We can assist with courier booking at your cost
  • Returned item will be assessed before refund or exchange
  • Secure packaging is the client's responsibility
  • No free shipping on exchanged packages
  • Refunds exclude original shipping
  • If out of stock, choose between waiting or refund


Restrictions on Returns
